Adept Treasure Hunter profession entry for May; she has found a leaf of Yggdrasil buried in the snow! How did it get way up on a mountain?

Following Winter Slopes , Michael and Red go a bit further with May and Harald. Michael is trying to get Red used to long treks across ice and snow (she is not a fan; sharp ice crystals form between her toes as she walks) and May is trying to find her way home. Of course she can't help but look for exotic treasure along the way since they are in a strange land.

May, Michael and Red cross an old rope and plank bridge across a deep shadowy canyon. May spots a glint of something shiny and would almost swear it was calling out to her and makes her way up the steep mountainside, not noticing that Harald has lagged behind. Michael stands on the far side of the bridge calling to Harald, but the stag won't budge. He taps the planks with his hoof and doesn't trust the way they jump under his weight or the creaking sound they make.

Michael descends to bribery, pulling sugar lumps out of his saddle bags while May pursues her treasure, oblivious. Red stands around in the cold wind getting grumpier and grumpier. She wants to find a nice hollow to shelter in but Michael won't let her move away from the bridge.

Finally May yells out in excitement at the discovery she has found and tells Harald to come see it. There is a rumor the leaves of Yggdasil hold magical properties, not to mention how exceedingly rare they are. The triumph in her voice, or perhaps just the indignation of being left out of her adventure are finally enough to spur Harald to rush past his fear. Trusting his handler's call he bounds over the bridge in three leaps, each causing the bridge to sway wildly and jump in the wind. He skitters up the icy slope, dodging out of Red's way as she swipes and hisses her impatience. May returns down with her discovery and the four of them find their way to shelter.
