Description I took this on the most perfect day known to man kind, and just months later it was September 11, the day that everyone knows (whether they like it or not, might I add...). After I got everything developed, I was thinking of trying to sell it on the anniversary or something, just for memoirs and stuff. I mean, those towers did mean a lot to a lot of people. I just think this is a gorgeous foto.

RIP to all who died.
Amazing photo. Sad we'll never see that sight again.

Wonderful picture.
I think, the picture was taken in Spring 2001.

It's my pleasure. I had nothing but good times in New York.

In retrospect, this is incredibly eerie-- something you managed to capture even though none of us had any idea of what was to come. Amazing shot.

they were simple, but oddly enough beautiful buildings. and it's still hard to watch a movie or see a picture of the NYC sky line and not see them there. It's just so empty without them.

Beautiful photo!!

Thank you . It is sad, and it's good that people remember. I just think some people are taking it a bit too far. I mean, they wanted to change the name of the Two Towers LOTR movie because of the attacks. I didn't notice that the two towers could be construed as being the World Trade Centers until they mentioned it. Oh well. New York does seem a bit lonlier without those buildings.

yeah i remember that, they don't take into account that the lord of the rings was written over 50 years ago and that the book is called the two towers not the twin towers, in the book they don't even look alike.

That is so cool sadiekins, a picture to be held on to. Or perhaps just an expirience.

The funny thing is, I have absolutely no recollection of ever taking this picture. I remember taking one while on the docks waiting for our ferry, but not of taking this one. Weird, huh?

it IS a gorgeous photo. wonderful shot. the sky was beautiful, but in hindsight still somehow seems ominous. well done.

Thank you very much. Ominous, though? Heh, I don't see that. It seems peaceful to me, even though it's a big city. I find it interesting that you do. Though, yes, if I put myself in the mindset, I can see how they'd be easy targets.. Huh..

The picture in and of itself does look very peaceful, but I'm just saying that knowing what I know now, what would happen to those beautiful towers, it almost seems misleading, kind of ominous.
