After looking on a search on "Neverwhere" fan art, this is by far my favorite Marquis de Carabas picture. This seems to grab the attitude that I always pictured him to have quite nicely.

I think this picture represents the Marquis the best. All the others are too clean-cut and prime and proper for him.

I LOVE his little grin, and his sideways glance...he's plotting something. I just know it. And the cheekbones @_@ Mm. And the long, tousled hair. *grabbyhands*

God, I love him. I'm watching the TV miniseries at the moment and Paterson Joseph is amaaaazing. Even though the hair style that they have for the Marquis is...uh...kind of odd? o_O
Anyway, wonderful picture!

It's...it's good, but not amazing. I thing they did well in choosing the actors for Richard and Door (Richard especially), and besides the Marquis' hairstyle, I adore Paterson. There's just eensy details that I wish had been included (like de Carabas "unfolding" from the pile of rags the first time we see him).
Plus the actor for Islington is NOTHING like what I imagined. Far, far too masculine and not particularly...I dunno. Angel-looking. Also, no blond hair.
(Also a tiny bit annoyed that they didn't include "The Fop with no Name" from the bodyguard auditions, though I really didn't expect them too, but he was totally my favorite of the background characters. XP)

I love his expression, and those cheekbones of his are gorgeous. The sepia-ish colors and the overlay thing really add to the feel of the pic.

I drew swirls and textures with a pencil on paper and made photoshop brushes from them that I used ^_^

I *love* it! XD Neverwhere was one of my favorite novels... did you ever see the BBC miniseries it was based on? So cool. ^_^ Quite cheezy and low-budget, but with all the awesome plot elements of the novel. I found an "unofficial" copy of it at a con, since it's not available domestically, and in the interviews I learned that he wrote the script for the series first, and liked it so much that he turned it into a novel. ^_^ Anyhow, I love the drawing, the style is great... it looks so professional!
