Description
He knew he just barely recognized that earlier feeling. The instinctive feeling all Time Lords have when in the presence of other Time Lords. He hadn’t felt it in so long he almost forgot what it felt like. The feeling was faint however.

“Please” You moaned. “Please don’t take me back. I don’t want to go back.”

He walked over to you and sat down. “Don’t worry. I won’t.”

“I-I never did anything wrong.”

“It’s okay…” He looked at you and sighed. “I’m sorry about what happened to you.”

“Yeah me too”

“Would you like to stay here on the TARDIS and travel with me and Rose?”

“What does that mean? Tardis.”

His face fell slightly. “Stands for Time and Relative Dimension in Space.”

“Sounds….nice that word. I guess I’ll travel with you both.”

“You’re shaking” He observed.

You looked at your hands and realized you were indeed shaking.

“I’m going to get you some food.” He handed you the candle and stood up. “Stay here if you like. If not just ask the TARDIS to lead you to the control room.”

You set the candle down on the ground and wiped your eyes. “Alright.”

Tardis. That sounded familiar. Why did it sound familiar? Had you heard it before or was it some weird deja vu thing? You turned your head to the candle and watched the flame bounce around. Suddenly an image flashed in your mind. An old man standing behind flames, shooting something at a wall, spelling out the words “No more”

“I hope you like banana’s and steak.” The Doctor walked back in with a plate. He set it down and gave you a fork and knife.

You opened the banana and ate it, practically scarfing it down. He smiled at you and sat back down beside you.

“Great source of potassium bananas.” He said, pointing slightly to it.

You nodded as you finished and began on the steak. “How did you cook this so fast?” You asked without thinking, your mouth half full of food.

“Flash fire cooking, used in the years 2600 through 2665. Just place it on the stove, turn it on for a quick second and it blasts fire so hot it cooks it in an instant.”

You nodded. “Why’d they stop?”

“They were more lazy during that century. Didn’t feel like seasoning anything and the fire could only season it so much. Plus people kept having accidents with it, accidentally cooking things that shouldn’t be cooked.”

“I think it’s delicious” You muttered, stuffing more steak in your mouth.

“Slow down. Can’t have you choking now can I?”

“Sorry” You said, slowing down considerably.

“After you finish eating I’m going to properly introduce you to Rose. You don’t have to talk to Adam. If you want I’ll make sure he stays away from you.”

“Alright...thank you.”

“You’re welcome.”

A thought struck you. “Doctor….what about the other thing? I think they were keeping someone else besides me. I heard them screaming alot too….are they okay?”

That must’ve been the wrong thing to say because his features darkened. “That was an alien. A bad one. It was evil. It deserved what it got. It’s dead.”

“....Does that mean….I’m bad too? Maybe that’s why I got locked up.”

“No of course not. You’re good. You were just in the wrong place at the wrong time is all.”

The two of you sat in silence as you finished eating. You noticed the Doctor staring intently at you. He looked like he had found a unicorn or something rare. Something that no longer existed. He looked happy. You were going to ask him about it but decided not to.
