Not long ago, I asked what fanart you'd like to see next and most of you voted for Ratigan.

So here's a vampire AU with Ratigan and my OC Lilly.

Lilly Hawthorn, American Journalist, travels to a small, Transylvanian town to investigate rumors of a monster that's been plaguing the countryside. Villagers who claim to have seen the creature, describe it as a massive bat with the tail of a rodent. Through her investigation, Lilly discovers that a wealthy count purchased the old castle nearby, around the same time that the murders started taking place. Summoning her courage, she goes to the gothic estate to speak with this man, a Count Ratigan, and find out what he knows.

A servant named Fidget lets her in and escorts her to a room where she can wait for his Master. Fidget, she notes, is a bat, but he's very small. And with his deformed wing and peg leg, it doesn't appear that he'd be capable of attacking anyone.

All alone in the drawing room, Lilly is left waiting for almost an hour. Once the sun sets, however, her host appears. When she first sees the count, she almost mistakes him for another bat. Silhouetted by the light from hallway, his large cape flows behind him like a great pair of leathery wings. It's only once he steps into the glow of the fireplace that Lilly realizes her mistake. Count Ratigan is a rat, the largest she's ever seen.

He is suave and cordial, calmly answering all of her questions. As they speak, Lilly notices many unusual things about her doting host, but the strangest of all are his teeth, which are unusually long and sharp, almost like fangs. While in his presence, Lilly feels that she's in a great deal of danger. However, Count Ratigan also possesses a peculiar, hypnotic charm, and despite her better judgment, she finds herself wanting to stay
