She listened to the rumble of his words, so gentle and so known by the time-strewn chambers of her heart.
"I only wonder," she said at last, "if this path that I've been walking has even been my own. How can the journey be so long, when part of me has only just begun?"
"A journey covers many roads, my love. Sometimes... one will take up the footsteps of another, and sometimes they will make their own way. I'm only thankful that this path, whichever, or whomsoever it may be, has led us to share the journey again."
"And to reach the destination together."
"Together."

"...Are you afraid?"
"Not anymore."

I've been in a bit of an art rut the last couple of weeks, and I thought that maybe a good way to clear my mind was to look back at my older work. So I re-read some of the stories that I have posted here and ended up getting swept up in my love for the Haunted Mansion once again. Thank god too! Such a wonderful set of characters! And so much delightfully improbable setup! I love it!

It's been a while since I've updated my fanfiction for it, A Dance with the Dead, which is a shame and I apologize if anyone has been waiting for that (you have all my love and hugs if you have ). But after reading through it again today I was inspired to continue. Though, with the current lack of time to write the next chapter, I instead did a quick Sarah/Elizabeth and Edward drawing of a (potential) scene that will/might appear in said chapter.... to hopefully spike your interest in this likely long forgotten story...?

Anyway the quality on this isn't the best, and hasty experiments with lighting is always a gamble, but none the less, I think it's cute and hopefully intriguing..? Yes? Lol Either way I'm just happy to be drawing Sarah/Elizabeth and Edward again.
If I could there would be much more art of them, to attempt to help fill the void of Haunted Mansion fanart

So let me know what you think! And if any of you are still interested in the story, please tell me so as well! Because though I plan to work on it regardless, I know I could produce much better work if I knew there was support for it still
