FIRST PAGE | PREVIOUS PAGE | NEXT PAGEWhew! This page took forever! I really wanted to improve on drawing the wasteland so I put in some extra effort for that. Then I wanted the slavers to look like the real deal, unlike those chump raiders. I also got to have fun experiment with stuff, namely the silhouette panel. I hope you like it!

The green pony next to the blue pony in the second-last panel has a weapon hanging on his neck that looks like a half of an AK47

That he does! Some of my more savvy friends would say it's a AK-74U..but close enough. The trigger mechanism is standard pony mouth-operated, and it is positioned on the left side of the gun. This makes it a "right-handed" (or something) gun.

ya that look close to that gun but if i remeber they never have time in the fallout lore the only thing close to it is the ciha one. the only time that the ak was ever shown in the fallout games was fallout 1 and 2 with the AK-112 but the weapon don't look anything close to an ak.
the other game that did show a real ok was fallout tactics. hey am a weapon nut and a video game colnter so ya sorry if am sounding like a know it all but weapons just get me going

The Ak-47 is lore friendly to fallout. The problem with the name and style was a licencing problem. If they used Ak-47 at the time, they'd have to have paid royalties to Kalashnikov, and as a small gaming company, that just wasn't feasible. The russians worked hand in hand with the chinese in the war up until the collapse of the UN. Bethesda screwed the lore up (in SO many ways) with Fallout 3, and considers things like fallout tactics non-canon to Fallout. Them adding the chinese assault rifle in made little sense in the lore, and is mostly a poor excuse to fit their 'own' Ak in.

true but you think with a weapon that is so sample to make you think a prepper of the pre war days would have buy the blue panits and save it away for the end and someone find it to make it.
the thing is there all so many drefent type of aks its hard to tell whats a real ak and what a fake look alike is.
I think fall out tactics did an good job of holding the lour of the fallout but other games like the brotherhood of steel was notting more then a lol at thing

I always found it funny when obivious bad guys as questions like that. Unless some smart as colt is hiding on the big guy's back. I always enjoy that kinda twist. 'Yea, I'm him, you wanna go tuff guy?'
Anyway, fantastic page as always! Good to know that Nova had the realization that life down below the clouds sucks, even if that's a shitty realization to have. It's still something!

Don't trust slavers eh? Sounds like this new group is a more typical caravan crew, so they might not be condemning the kid to a life of slavery. That or the caravaners could just be looking to pawn them off at Fillydelphia for a quick buck. So yeah... that's only a small comfort.
I suppose another question we should be asking is whether or not the slavers/raiders can control those itchy trigger fingers (tongues? horns?) once the haggling starts...
