A single flower bud of a purple hyacinth. I love their smell!

I was playing a bit around with the glossiness of the bud - it was pretty hard to get it right - tell me what you think?

What do you think of the subject in general? I have a hard time actually figuring out whether I like this photo or not... Do you like the colors and the clipping? What about the depth of field? - Is the background too blurry, or should it have been more blurry?

What does it make you think of, and what would you guess the subject really is (if you hadn't read the comments)? Please give me any feedback you can think of - even the evil things! I can take it, and I'm always ready to learn
