The treadmill's speed showed 20 mph as Melinda continued her light jog. Being gifted with superhuman strength and speed was amazing, sometimes she had to pinch herself because it still felt like a dream at times, but getting a workout on normal exercise equipment wasn't easy.

This type of display would cause a lot of stares in the fitness center of Steel Canyon University but, being late night on a Friday, most students had either gone home for the weekend or out partying at the local bars and clubs. So Melinda had the center to herself, with the exception of a large man grunting loudly at a weight bench. After a few more gutteral roars, he wiped the sweat off his face and sauntered over to Melinda who had just stepped off of the machine.

"Hey Melinda," he announced with a big smirk on his face.

"Hey Bull," she replied drolly.

"You still dating that Crane guy?"

"Yes Bull," Melinda stated, trying hard not to roll her eyes, either at the question or the tank top emblazoned with the phrase "Grab the Bull by the Horn" with an arrow pointing downward.

"You know, I don't see you here very often."

"I was thinking the same thing about you and the library."

"Ha, funny. Anyway, I just wanted to extend an invitation to tomorrow's powerlifting contest. I plan on breaking the school bench press record, 600 pounds! I'll show everyone who the strongest person on campus is!" he said proudly as he flexed his 25 inch arms.

"Man," she corrected.

"What?"

"You'll show that you're the strongest man."

"Come on red, don't tell me you're saying that a woman could be stronger than a man?"

"You're smarter than you look."

"Listen, men are genetically superior...especially me. So there's no way that's true. Hey, I'm not saying women can't do things, but this is just science sweety."

Bull grabbed his towel and walked toward the men's locker room. Before he entered, he turned around.

"Hey, ditch the zero and get with the hero...think about it babe!"

As he walked into the room, Melinda strolled over to the weight bench that Bull set up. Grabbing the bar, she hoisted it up easily, doing a couple one armed curls before holding it above her head and twirling it like a majorette with a baton. Placing the weight back down on the bar, she sighed and shook her head as she walked to the women's locker room.

"Boys..."
