Description
Katelyn Keller was an Army medic, stationed in Afghanistan, when her life changed dramatically.

She was treating some civilians at a local medical center when it was attacked and Kate was gravely injured from the shrapnel from an explosion. Her life in jeopardy, she was taken by a clandestine group to a small warehouse where she was used as a test subject for an experimental serum. The thought was, if she died no one would notice but...if it worked...

And work it did, Kate quickly recovered from her injuries. But she also grew superhumanly stronger and faster. Her epidermis had become impenetrable, like steel. She could leap tall buildings, see small details a mile away, and could hear someone's heartbeat. Thankfully there was something in the serum that allowed her to transform back into her normal self, so she was able to resume a normal life after she was medically discharged from the military. And while she was able to quickly find work, she also quickly realized her new gifts meant her life was going to be far from normal.
