Horned Phyrnosoma (phyrnos) Drake
This small dragon is found in family groups among the western mountains and cliffs of the barren deadlands. The phyrnosoma drake is occasionally hunted by the larger black drakes of the Bleeding Mountains. To defend itself the phyrnos spews a bloody tar like substance onto its victim. The dark red goo is extremely sticky and contains a variety of bacteria that causes sickness and death. The phyrnos hunts fish, orcs and a variety of smaller goats and elk found in the deadlands. On the rare occasion as phyrnos is killed by an orc, it’s skin and horns are used in a variety of ways such as tools, tents, weapons and clothing.
