January 5 2018, The Year that one of my favorite anime of all time came out globally, Devilman Crybaby.

Directed by Masaaki Yuasa whom also did Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! another of my favorites.
This Anime adapts Go Nagai's often overlooked masterpiece into a modernized retelling, adding new themes and characters while retaining the old characters and anti-war message of the original manga. This Anime while it has some flaws like its pacing and mild inconsistency, it nonetheless is the most impactful anime guaranteed to pull your heartstrings, tackling themes on tolerance, empathy and most importantly, Love.

As you can see here, this art piece displays Akira and Ryo facing in opposite directions while their alternative selves faces each other. This show the tropes 'Light is not inherently good' and 'Dark is not inherently evil' as Akira is on the right side which represents goodness, justice, and compassion while Ryo is on the left representing selfishness, cruelty and apathy.
