Well here's my first piece finished for the 2009 Comic-Con International this year. I think I improved a bit on my coloring from my Mai Shiranui drawing. These pictures I'm doing for the con are a departure from my nudes as you can't display nudes at the con; needless to say, I try to come close
Hope you all enjoy it.
*edit* I fixed the line on the side of her nose that was not favorable.

Actually the ONLY thing I did was remove the line on the side of her nose, that's it. No other changes implimented.

Hi Brad, this piece is very nice overall, you're really starting to "bloom" as an artist and, yes, it's fairly obvious that your skills are improving. Kudos to you! The shading looks better than alot I've seen and the entire character is quite well drawn. All the proportions look good, everything seems to be just where it should be and you've got a nice amount of detail in there too.
I know a couple people have mentioned her nose and how it seems a little off, you've agreed but aren't exactly sure what it is about it that's throwing it off. I don't mean to sound presumsuous here, just to help you out, so I'm going to tell you precisely what it is.... It's nothing major at all actually, the shape and placement of the nose are great, all you have to do is completely remove that extra angled line that juts off to the left of her nose in the picture (on the right side of her face). I'm sure you put it there with the intention of representing the "shadow" that would be thrown by the nose, but here's the thing... because you're coloring and shading the picture, it's completely unnecessary and even if it were staying black and white, it should be removed anyway as there are no OTHER lines like this anywhere else in the drawing to indicate the presence of shadow and because that little line carries the same 'weight' and '
I really hope you try my suggestion, I truly think you'll be pleased with the result! As for the rest of the drawing, it's great! I don't see any other obvious "issues" at all and that's the sign of someone who really got thier basics down! Of course there's room for improvement, but those things will naturally come as you continue to develop your own personal style and skills as an artist. I definately look forward to seeing you continue to improve and grow (especially since you seem to like catgirls! hahaha) and this one is really great, I like it alot!
