Description Before I made this quasi complete picture, I had done a small doodle where the wyrms head origionally started out as the head of one of the Aracnid fighter bugs from Stars Ship Troopers, but I horribly messed up on the body (of the doodle) when I tried using Whiteout to fix a mess-up. As it is, I just spontaniusly came up with the desighn of this verstion/species of Wyrm, and am wondering if I should make a story with this creature in it... but all in good time.

Made with nothing but my trusty Pilot Precise Rolling Ball pen and Stanford coloring pencil, no graphite!

Wow, this is a really cool creature concept. It would be awsome for you to use it in TSC.

I believe I will! Just have to think up a proper name for them and write up the species bio.

Glad ye like it

Pretty cool. It's simple, but I like how the trunk(s) and branches of the tree are somewhat gnarled. Reminds me of something I'd see in a swamp. And of course the wyrm is pretty scary looking.

I'm Crow, from paleolit and formerly of ephemeral, by the way.

Thanks! I like trying to get things to look as natural as possible, but I need to get me arse in gear and finish something! But he's not scarry, he only eats letcherus old men (and the occational Bishop), raptor feathers aren't his thing.

Anyway, nice to meet ya! I like all the cute little Fierce Creatures in your gallery, too.

that's very likely the one place I've never heard of a wyrm living.

and you made one that makes sense. excellent work.

have nice days.

Ooo hey, that turned out pretty awesome! I love the feeling of weight that the wyrm has, and I really like the narrowness of the jaws against the thickness of the body - I don't think it's too fat at all.

Glad you think it's cool. I need to find the origonal so I can finish it, though I'm half the mind to redo the wyrm, his (or her? not sure yet) tail section isn't quite how I had wanted to look. Now, to just think, that head design started out as one of those warrior bugs form Starship Troopers! And I think it fits better than the more "dragonish" head I had in mind first.

By the way, your art is sweet and I love your writing.

Thou art Bookmarked!

Wow.
I must say, not using graphite first and still having it come out this good intrigues me to no end. Nice indeed.

Although the body either seems a little to wide for head or the head is too narrow/pointy for the body...

Yes, I definetly had to go slow in order to not mess it up, also for the fact that I usually draw and sketch very messily and impresice (as you can probably tell from my other things).

the whole thing about that long and narrow head is that I was thinking "Starship Troopers Warrior bug" at first before it evolved into a wyrm. I like the head design, but I agree that the body is a little "fat", my mind was wandering around all the ideas I have in this weird head. That's what happenes when I draw all wild and crazy, except that wasn't really the time for it. I like this theme though, I'm considering redoing this on proper paper, not printer stuff, and get that body correct.

Thanks for the comment!

-__- you can draw trees...

*sulks*

But anyhow, Man, this picture is good! I love the wyrm. I mean, you did a REALLY nice job on that sucker. I ALWAYS get heads messed up on creatures like that, but you managed to pull it off well. ^_^

I would really like to see a background on this, especially if you can keep it in the same quality as the focus. I wouldn't be opposed to voting for this to be a daily dev if you finished it ^_~

I really like the pointy head in this one.... Makes the wyrm look even more menacing and scary! You really got him wrapped around the tree very well--I can tell he has a tremendous weight....

A little bit more shading/coloring of the ground near the tree would help place the subject in the drawing a bit more...but if you like it this way, that's perfectly fine. I'm the last one who should be whining about backgrounds!!!

Yea, I agree about the forest floor and the Background, shading ect., I was just being lazy and afraid of making a mistake on those things, so I didn't really do them, and I didn't really know where to start off for doing that, I shall have to expiriment carefully...

Thanks anyway, I like constructive criticisim!

Hey, it's okay. I'm usually lazy with my backgrounds too (and that's when I'm not too lazy to actually do a background)!! ^.^

You're most welcome!
