its worth noting virtualization doesn't work for games which is why alot of people are reluctant to leave windows it doesn't work because the virtual machine doesn't have access to your graphics card because of the way virtualization works.

VMware is good but i personally use Virtual Box which is open source and you don't have to go through all that annoying registration crap

i want to convert to linux but i still want to use windws to play games and photoshop

you can use dual boot .. so you install
ubuntu on hda and xp on hdb,
but if you try to emulate xp on linux to play
games .. it wouldn't work because it needs to
much system ressources.

ich hab das selbe genau umgekehrt: ubuntu (weiß jetz nicht genau welches aber ev. auch das breezey badger) unter windoof
kannst du jetz grafiklastige anwendungen unter dem virtuellen windoof verwenden (zB zum spielen)
ich mΓΆchte auch primΓ€r auf linux umsteigen doch das war bis jetz wegen der schule nicht mΓΆglich weil wir da bestimmt proggis brauchn

spiele weis ich jetzt nicht, aber grafische angwendungen wie zb photoshop funktionieren.
