Agreed! That's also the first thing that came to my mind. The second thought was: cool spearhead 
We don't get to see such a cool and original alien everyday...
But I'm not sure about this stuff on top of his head... It's a great effect for the overall picture, but maybe it diminishes the beauty of the alien.
Oh and the ID you choose is just awesome XD - the best part of an overall wondeful piece ^^
