I am curious to how you came to add the feminist persona for Redback. Was it so you could add something to a new character and was there any backstory to this? Sorry if I got a little personal

I don't mind
Just wanted to put the character together as well as possible.
Not just calling her "Redback" and making her a hot blonde australian chic.
I wanted to go all in! Give her a "gimmick", so to speak.
The australian redback spider is a man-eater, meaning the females often devour the males after mating. So I wanted to give the woman, who chose that name, a bit more depth, making her a man-hater in the process.
That and I don't like weak women either

I guess for me it comes down to not portraying a view of a character in a negative light. While not all feminist are about hating men and suppressing them, there are some that do take that radical step. Kind of like how there fundamentalist Christians that say controversial things like "God Hates Fags" or fundamentalist Muslims that become suicide bombers. What I am saying is while Redback has good points to be very distrusting of men, she is flawed herself.

I wasn't trying to justify her feminism. Neither is it a shallow one. I guess she just sees things in the wrong way, even though it's understandable why. And yes, she is flawed, to say the least. But it's not that she's a preaching character, telling all women to follow her example. It's just her way of thinking and she doesn't give a crap what anybody else thinks. That's the difference, I guess.
