I know, this character has been used countless times ... still, I wanted to have my own version of her!
Enter Medusa, the queen of the abyss!
She is the mentor of Viper's teacher Lady Vis. The most powerful entity in the world of the nagas. And let's just say not exactly happy with the death of her apprentice
She takes it as an insult and won't rest until someone brought her Viper's head!
Medusa lurks in the bottomless pit. People make sacrifices in every full moon night in order to appease her. Medusa likes gold, silver and jewels. So this is what people give her, so they won't fall victim to her wrath and that of her night blue snakes.
Medusa is capable of turning everything that lives to stone. However, if she really is related to the Medusa of legend is unknown. And who's gonna ask her?
The only humans Medusa has some sort of respect for are women. Women are allowed to talk to her when received in audience. That doesn't always end well for them, of course. But unlike every man who ever dared to get in Medusa's face, they at least have a slight chance of keeping their lifes.

Neat character. Wonder how she would act towards other snake-people. I read the description, but I wonder how she would act towards another naga, or someone like Moriana.

Good question. Well, she's a queen, so as long as she's treated respectful, she would probably show some kind of motherly affection towards them

I see. I actually wonder how a meeting between Moriana and Medusa would go down. Though of course, Moriana would act respectful to the naga, in case of a possible alliance. But still, that would be one meeting.

Women always get a chance to talk before being petrified ... well, most of the time
Nagas on the other hand would need to infuriate her to suffer that fate.
However, infuriating Medusa is not really much of a challenge

Charming words might work on her for so long, but she will get bored ultimately.
Gems and gold are more useful to win her over in the long term.

Treasures...hmmm...Moriana would have some valuable riches from some of her victims, but I would think that if anyone was to talk to Medusa and live was if they made a pact to ensure Viper's downfall.

However, Medusa is not a character to trifle with.
Just like Lycanthrope the concept needs to be well-thought-out, cause both characters would make a big impact on the all-in-all plot that might can't be undone.

The artist, I commissioned, is currently going through a personal crisis and is taking a few days or weeks off. This means everything will slow down and his commission list is long, so ... well, I think it might take one or two months longer.

Nice use of a cobra-hood for her royal regalia...Ditto with her actual snake-hair! The way they stick up like that make them look a like a crown. ...A crown for the queen!

Meaning Meduse herself would have to kiss her victim's lips to bring him/her back to life.

I had plans for the pic as far as Medusa goes and this idea of your doesn't interfere with them! In fact, it perfectly works for em!
See, my plan was having Medusa say "If you have something to say to me, say it now!" And what a way to nail those words down would be a stoned comrade!

Very interesting version, the head is cool. It has an egyptian feel yet gives off an original look, plus I like how it looks like a cobra hood. I like how her skin is white with both her snake and human half, as though she is the pinnacle of naga in her realm.
