AKI ONIGATA
Aki has been with VWW since 2016, making her debut at that year's Condemnation PPV, where she would help Vice get a victory over The Voice. Originally having trouble to stay relevant, she bumped from faction to faction, often as a lesser member. Behind the scenes, several people scratched their heads, how it was possible to overlook someone with as much upside as her. While rough around the edges, Aki always had potential and even legendary VWW Megastar Angela Langley sang her praises in an interview, letting the world know Aki was, in her opinion, much better than anybody gave her credit for.
Only after breaking away from KILLER INSTINCT and ( kayfabe ) driving them out of the company, Aki would finally climb up the card. With two absolute powerhouses in Skye Scrapper and Onyx Tonga watching her back, she kicked down the main event door and challenged Írem the Machine for the VWW Global Championship on PPV. While she often found herself in the "Dolph Ziggler" position afterwards and a proper world title run still eludes her to this day, Aki has since headlined PPV's and gobbled up several titles and accomplishments. Rising up the card, if slowly and unsteady, today she is one of VWW's more prominent players and no longer anybody's second-in-command. Big PPV victories over VWW's main event players, such as Sabrina Crowley and Pauline Marchesi also have made clear that Aki is no longer happy settling a tier below them. It is no longer a question "if" she can become world champion, it's "when"!
