Description
Time to give the treatment to two of PFA's most loyal stalwarts.
Yukiko (left) and Motoko Tanahashi (right)
TANAHASHI TYPHOON
Coming from a Japanese Idol background, while also learning the ropes, the Tanahashi sisters had their first match on November 13, 2017 at VWW's One Night In Osaka iPPV. Talk about trial by fire. There, after a solid showing, they lost to Les Usurpatrices. Soon afterwards, they joined PFA in early 2018, mostly acting as jobbers to the stars while honing their skills and paying their dues. They scored their first ever televised victory on September 2, 2018, defeating The Hall Sisters ( Bambi & Liiza Hall ) on the Unsettled Differences Free-4-All. While usually wrestling on the pre-shows before the actual PPV's, they did appear at 2018's World's Finest XII, once again on the Free-4-All. It was here that they defeated The Sinister Sweethearts ( Brittany Blake & Samantha Heights ), The Hall Sisters ( Bambi & Liiza Hall ) and Sisters War ( Veronika & Kerstin Krieg ) in a Four Corners Match to earn a fulltime contract with PFA. Since then, they have been a constant, entertaining presence, wrestling on many PPV's. However, they would remain a lower tier team, with their first real push not happening until 2021, where they finally won the National Tag Team Championship ( their first titles together ) and be the runner-ups in the annual World's Finest Invitational. They would even go on to challenge for the PFA World Tag Team Championship at World's Finest XV. While they lost there, the sky seems the limit for the energetic duo, now that they finally have built some momentum.
YUKIKO TANAHASHI
The older, yet smaller and less striking of the two, Yukiko decided to dye her hair blond to fight her own nondescript appearance. Be it wrestling style or fan support, Yukiko has always been in Motoko's shadow, who is considered a future star. While she does have the better singing voice, even there Motoko outshines her with her more expressive, outgoing charisma. Yukiko doesn't mind being less popular than her baby sister, but does take offense when called the "Marty Jannetty" of the team. She is also a huge fan of Último Dragón and Io Shirai.

MOTOKO TANAHASHI
Motoko was only 17 years old, when she made her in-ring debut on iPPV. She admitted in later interviews that she was shaking backstage and almost threw up before the match, leaning on her big sister to help her make it through. She had a busy childhood, competing to become an Idol, while also training in wrestling and karate. While a passionate singer with lots of charisma, she eventually opted to focus on becoming a pro-wrestler, falling in love with the business during that VWW match in Osaka. Motoko wrestles a high-impact style, but uses extended stretching and Yoga techniques, as well as rigorous training to make sure her body doesn't crumble under the pressure. Her wrestling heroes are Hiroshi Tanahashi, Último Dragón, Rob Van Dam, Chris Jericho, Lita, Mio & Io Shirai, Kana (Asuka) and Meiko Satomura, among others.
