I had a chat with Sam Nielson (artsammich.blogspot.com/) about rendering water. Underneath the surface the water is illuminated by the Jaeger's lights which creates a greenish atmospheric haze (just how things become bluer and hazier as they recede in the distance on land. As water becomes darker it shifts from blue to green.


Is that kind of what you were asking? If you really want to know, you should take a class from Sam.
