Description Ink drawing. This was one of those things where you just start drawing and see what emerges. The hanging figures were influenced by a short story I want to read as soon as possible where women are made into silkworms. It's in a book called Vampires in the Lemon Grove by Karen Russell. After reading it maybe I'll have more drawing to do!

Very creepy, eerie and dark, I love the descrated corpses hanging spun in the trees, the big spiders, tall the little ones following along, great contrast and nice job you did with details!

Sorry to have creeped you out but I'm glad you liked the artwork!
The hanging people were actually inspired by a short story about women who were being made into silkworms.
I'm embarrassed to say I haven't seen or read the Hobbit but have been meaning to. I did read a children's adaptation of it when I was a kid that I really loved.

I read the silkworm thing in your description and it really sounded unsettling! Don't be embarrassed about the Hobbit, I only saw the film and read the book recently and hadn't known it before, either. I have to say I still don't like Tolkien's writing style
