Description
This would be a quick sketchbook doodle of the Buddha. Although Buddhism as a belief system would have originated on the subcontinent of India, I always felt the traditional portrayal of the Buddha as having tightly curled hair made him look sorta like a black dude. So, I drew him as one. Though considering that many people in India have dark skin like that of Africans (as do Aboriginal Australians, Melanesians, etc.), maybe this appearance isn't too far-fetched for an early Buddhist after all.
