Description So. I see this guy DesignRNG [link] gallery and I'm completely blown away. Then I see, 'No. Virginia' so I say, "hey man wherein NoVA?" fast forward, we meet up for a sketch trip to the Smithsonian and I'm siked that I get to pick his brain a bit for the day, yet he's a natural teacher of art because his passion for it is bottomless.

So we're in the Smithsonian's always packed animal meuseam (sp? that word fucks me up for life) and finally sit down at this bench in front of the T-Rex skull. pull out the pencils and start going at it... Rath Chris goes at it. I'm like, "uhhh... Where do I start" (seeing as how I haven't really drawn since 3rd grade-ish).

He suggests starting to outline. So I do. A few minutes later I'm looking at his sketch like, "Holy Shit!" And of course everyone starts to gather around to watch him draw and they're all like, "Holy shit!". Then some kid comes over to me and points at my sketch pad and says, "Wow! that's cool!". I looked back at my pad and I guess i wasn't paying attention because, yeah, where the hell did that come from.

We finish and we look at each others pads, I'm in Freakin Awe! Chris says, "wow. How did you do that on your first sketch?" I say, "I just drew what I saw". He nodded very approvingly and with a hint of a smile said, "yeah." However I couldn't help but to notice how his made mine look like child porn. But damn! I was hype! I think I can fucking draw! Awesome!

The sketch looks like it's fading pretty quickly. Does anyone have any suggestions?
