The colors melt into each other, gilt satin dripping into first a blood then a burgundy red. Her colors are flown over not only her own palace, but are spread across the sky at sunset each night. She is daring enough to claim an inevitability as her sign. Emblazoned on the gradient is the dynasty's sigil, a stylized flame in a pressed opalescent shimmer. [64/25]

MYTHICAL FAMILIAR

The family exists in possibility. Their realm reflects this, creating a creature that exists on the edge of creating and destroying, renewing and razing. Coexisting contradictions are their stock and trade and while something this obvious is usually beyond them, they are fond of a little fancy. The familiar is a fire sprite, shapeless in its standard form. However, the licks of flame allow it to follow any shape. The intensity of the sprite varies the colors, from a blinding white or blue to a comfortable red or orange. The sprites are drawn to activity, innately interested in entropy, and on one memorable occasion, an avant garde ball was lit only by their flickering forms. Some of them will attach themselves to specific sites, often curiously found at crossroads as if even the concept of change intrigues them. A few have even learned a crude form of mimicry, using the snaps and sparks and shapes to imitate their owners or other familiar faces. [163/150]

An island sweeps out to sea, curving back on itself like a scythe to encircle a lush harbor, greedily hoading it from the ravages of the ocean's whims. The larger land rushes away to the horizon from the port, both more lush and verdant than one would expect from a nation with such an affinity to fire. The prominence of bathing pools are a tribute to their many faceted god and their city centers often sport fountains for decorations. First haphazardly in a rush for progress, then thoughtfully as wealth made planning both a luxury and a hobby, much of the continent has been developed. Several bustling cities with active social and political players have sprouted from its soil. The prevailing architecture theme integrates open courtyards with the physical opulence of sprawling villas. Others lend a poeticism to her, describing in luxurious detail the expression she wore or the curl of her hair. She brings both fire and water, carrying contradictions as easily as she carries the weary constant of her eternity. She has never worn the same face twice, and her followers are rarely sure if they have actually encountered her or a playful devotee. It is in her symbols that they find conviction, her power at once accelerating life to a frenzy and holding it encapsulated in a frozen moment. She is painted as the phoenix triumphant and as the penitent baptized. Varied in her facets, she offers both solace and condemnation to all.

Many of the more symbolic depictions are highly stylized to allow for universality. Often, entire houses will be planned in tribute, mirroring out the depictions on carefully crafted to be identical wings of the house. A courtyard can claim an ornate fountain as the penitent kneels in the pool and the phoenix rises above bearing a lantern as the rest of the house carries the motifs in bare brushstrokes or abstract representation.
