It mostly uses the footage from Treadwell's recordings. It then cuts to interviews with official wildlife experts, bear behaviorists, his parents and ex girlfriend, the park rangers, etc about the situation. There's also themes of how boundaries between the natural world and human world are broken when Timothy made continuous contact with the bears. It's sad, but serves as a lesson to take. Also the six minutes of footage that recorded only the audio of both Treadwell and his girlfriend's mauling and death is never heard, only Herzog hears this and begs the family to keep it locked up or destroy it. Any supposed audio you find on YouTube is a reenactment for either the news or low budget tv documentaries.
