just out of curiousity....how much would you ask for a dress like this?

Not much, mostly just the cost of the material.. I offered it to someone for 50 euro, but she declined..

from a pretty basic historical pattern, but drawn out by hand dicrectly on the fabric. I jotted down the measurements and how it shoudl be placed on the fabric on a little note and then measured and chalked some references on the fabric. It is nice and simple really!

Geduld heb je wel nodig ja.. en garen en een naald en wat stof! Maar dit patroon is supermakkelijk, google gewoon even op Viking Apron dress en gij zult vinden! Als je op kimono googled vind je vast ook wel een kimono patroon

Cool ! So my explanations were not too confusing ? The embroidery is great ! And since you are working with leather.... I made my first set of brooches (before I could get the metal ones) with round pieces of leather (the vegetable tanned), which I worked with water and a hammer to get a slight bowl shape. Then I stained it and decorated with studs and stitching and made two holes on each side. I then used stiff metal wire, which I folded in a spiral on one end and sharpened to a point on the other end. It makes something similar than a leather barette (with a pin instead of a stick). Of course, it is not historical, but it serves the purpose of holding the dress. I hope you understand what I mean here.

The embroidery design is beautiful, i love the colours and it is very well done - i think if you did the other panels too it would look stunning.

Very nice! I love how wool looks, but am mildly allergic to the stuff, so I have to either where it as an outer layer where wont rub me, or find an alternative fabrice that has the look of wool.

luciky I am not so woolitch prone, but this is an outergarment!
You could line wool fabric, wouldn't that help?
