Description
I did the original linework on this elf around the beginning of 2015. Elves are tend to follow a standard pattern of tropes, and I didn’t stray far from them in this design, so this is a fairly generic specimen.
At least part of his look came from 80s glam metal, which is the reason for the teased hair and headband. Apart from that, the only other point of interest is the sword hilt. I didn’t want to go with the
guardless versions elves tend to have in fantasy movies, but I decided that standard quillons would catch on the bowstring, so I added the knuckle-bow as a way of overcoming that problem.

This artwork was for a paper mini, which is why there's not much perspective.
