(Update: reoutlined Mr.Krabs, recolored Mr.Krabs's body, enhanced the color of the door behind him, and improved some of the contrast and lighting)A gem from the good ol'days, when Spongebob Squarepants was funny, clever and tolerable.
The Episode "Squeaky Boots" OH dear lord the scene near the end after Mr. Krabs has his mental breakdown with all of his weird facial expressions holds a candle to some funny characters of the modern age.
Also it didn't hit me until when I was older that this scene was a reference to the old Edger Allen Poe story "The Tell Tale Heart".....hmm......weird.Β

Evan- once upon a time Poe knew an old man with a weird bright eye that haunted him, one night Poe snuck into the man's house and killed him to rid himself of the madness of the eye, then when the cops came, Poe seemed to be in the clear, then the eye appeared in his mind and he fell deeper into madness, revealing to the police that he hid the man's corpse under the floorboards. See the similarities to Poe's story and Mr. Krabs's?Β
