Okay, so technically he's confessing to Lucina, not the Avatar, but I couldn't pass this up. And she found him trying to soak in a Hot Spring (the Hot Spring Scramble DLC). He quickly tried pulling on his yukata, courtesy of Anna, around his waist. They got to talking (even if it was awkward), and he confessed.
As for non-AtBoT/OWLD readers, the story is a crossover of Kid Icarus and Fire Emblem: Awakening. But the story takes place over a thousand years after Uprising and Pit has become a god, so he looks a little older.

Thales: Neither do I, and as Palutena's former Captain I know a whole lot. ...Not as much as Charis, but still, a lot.
Margaret: Not even Lady Mneme wants to talk about it. I guess it was pretty bad.

g!Pit: I don't know about the original gods, but I do know it is possible for their powers to be taken by another being- though I think that being has to be something of divine or immortal in the first place, like me or Nemo.
Kuro: The only problem is that if you don't get that power fair and square, so to speak, then it can sort of fight its way out.
g!Pit: *grumbles* Kind of like Vis and Viridi, or...

D!Pit: We're not sure about it ourselves, but we've always had the same gods. Thought Lady Seph has mentioned that Viridi wasn't the original Goddess of Nature, her mother Demeter was. Thought there's been no signs of that transfer even been done in our world proper, so it might've happened before the gods were worshiped.
Margaret: Yeah, then there's that weird Chaos Goddess, God Witch, whatever. What's the deal with her?
Thales: You mean Lady Ananke.
Margaret: Yeah, her! The stuff she talks about is really weird! ...And confusing.
D!Pit: She's probably the only one who'd be willing to tell the whole story to us, but considering she lives beyond the Chaos Vortex and the Sky Train to find her doesn't come in this Realm often...
