Description
Some sketches for another potential character in Breakout Stars. Delta's older brother, Alpha.

He is an anthro alien/lion-like Delta, only more masculine and sports a thicker maine/hairstyle.

For this character's background, I thought that while Delta became a Solar Security officer in outer space, Alpha could be a royal guard for the royal family of his and Delta's people. Alpha is as Athletically gifted and resourceful as his sister, but is much more aggressive, impulsive and striving to become the best at what he does. At first, he has a antipathy towards humans (considering how Captain Craas acts towards Delta) providing our hero Artie the difficult task of trying to get on his good side while remaining in one piece.

Despite being a war hero and saving his people from time to time, he could eventually end up in a wrong crowd, that being the royal family's advisor who wants to take over the throne and would manipulate anyone and take advantage of Alpha's hatred of Humans just to get there.

The Alpha character is inspired by Knuckles the Echidna from the Sonic games, Simba from the Lion King and my personal favourite and the one with the most influence on the character, Anakin Skywalker from Star Wars. Like Anakin, Alpha could be troubled and on the verge of turning evil due to the lies of an evil mastermind. And after a heated rivalry with Artie, his recklessness could nearly cause his life. Only this time, despite what Alpha put him through, Artie choses to save Alpha's life instead of taking it, thus earning the lion's trust.
