One idea I'm considering is making Madelyn like the Megamind to Artie's Roxanne. In this case, the eccentric villainess Β gets involved with this down-to-earth human under circumstances which could eventually lead to an attraction based on acceptance and trust, but at the same time, she feels that people forbid it (At least at first).
On the other hand, there could be a love triangle involving Artie, Madelyn and Lyllian. Similar to Tenchi, Ryoko and Ayeka's.

Well for the first Idea, I kinda like to have Artie's storyline as the main focus, since his journey is not only about getting out of the cartoon dimension he ends up trapped in, but his interference could cause change to the world equilibrium for some of the other charactersΒ like Madelyn, Rip-Tile, Lyllian, Dumaas, and Ominous, thus introducing us to their sub-plots in the story.
It's kind of like Back to the Future when Marty ends up in 1955 and has to get back home, during which he gives a younger adult Doc something to look forward to in his scientific career (His invention of the Time Machine), as well as helping his younger dad conquer his insecurity (hence him clocking Biff ^^).

The outfit's sort of a take on the suit worn by Talia from Batman. I just thought I'd make it more menacing.
