This is the wall across the room from: [Peter Pan Mural ] has a hand-painted graphic/stylized tree with Tinkerbell standing one of of the leaves, sprinkling pixie dust down into the crib.Here's the full, finished room: Peter Pan Nursery - Tink Wall
Her wings glow in the dark, as does the space around her silhouette - and the pixie dust lights up in the night, as well. I'll try to get pictures of the glow-in-the-dark action...

oh i didn't realize, but I saw the rest of the room later, I thought at first it was just tinkerbell but then I saw it was a whole peter pan room
well I like blue for girls too so maybe thats just where my mind went

That whole room was painted blue without knowledge of the baby's gender, so it was definitely ready to accept a girl, as well! Totally worked both ways - just happened to be a boy!

I dig your gallery, so I imagine it was slick! Yellows and greens, maybe browns...that seems to be the safe way to approach the 'unknown'.

I'm about to go CRAZY jungle room and a superhero wall, too. Nothing may be quite as straight forward graphically as the Peter Pan room, but I hope it's slick enough for a no-longer-baby boy.

I did that mural - and I just looked for a way to embed a picture of me painting it, but no luck there... I'll do the jungle and superhero ones, as well. Hope to pull off some interesting elements and one-up the glow-in-the-dark aspects of the Peter Pan room.

Thank you very much! The little guy is just now starting to take notice. She glows in the dark, as well, and so does the pixie dust she's sprinkling into the crib. I know he's discovered that aspect of it!

I wish I could have gotten a good picture of her glowing in the dark! It was VERY cool every time you'd turn off the light for bedtime. Her soft green glow would show up even more as your eyes adjusted to the dark, bringing the little fairy dust sprinkles into clearer view... {sigh}

I originally wanted a jungle or zoo theme but it seems like every Tom, Dick and Harry are getting into it. I'm not sure what else really strikes me. That's why I was looking up nurseries on dA and how I came across yours! <3

True, there are quite a few mainstream themes. That allows for some options, of course, and you can make the room your own with whatever is available. I'm honored that you like mine.
Do you know the gender of the baby? We didn't, so part of the thought process was that Peter Pan has boyish and girlish appeal. We went with the light blue overall - and if we had a girl, we were going to dress it up with lace, pinks, etc.
I'll tell ya, the idea we kicked around before the Peter Pan was "arctic babies." You're free to run with that if you like it. Figured it'd be cute, ya know? And I don't think Tom, Dick or Harry has thought of it...
Anyway, I'll have to get some pictures up, and I'll keep the JennTiger in mind when I do!

We don't know the gender, yet. Still have a few weeks before we can tell for sure. That's partially why I liked the jungle theme so much. I've always loved animals and you can't really go wrong when tigers are involved!
We've got an awesome light green picked out that I did the bathroom up in. Outside of that, I'm really doing some homework on what other neutral-ish colors will work well with it.
Looking forward to the pictures and I'm definitely feeling the inspiration zooming in now!

She should be arriving next month! I'm still so lost on the room. We're painting the top half of the room a really pretty arctic blue and the bottom half will be light green like grass and sky. Only problem is how to decorate it further with animals that look decent on a textured wall. Vinyl decals and even just trying to paint shapes on it doesn't look so great. I'm sure we'll figure something out.... I hope.
