For fun.
It's not the only drawing of mine that she's a girl in.

My, poor Brell. Surpassed in the rankings by a disembodied arm.

Thanks. I kinda wish I drew it more exaggerated, but there's always the future.

Why does Link have pink hair?

It's one of the character traits with my personal portrayal of Link. Originally, she just started as a genderswapped Zelda I-II Link, with brown hair. But the pink hair was a neat nod to the ingame sprite of Zelda III, and it made her stand out more. So it just happens to be the trend I roll with now. It makes her a bit more "unique" or "mine" when there's art of her, as opposed to just a strict genderswap of Link from Breath of the Wild, for instance.

Huh, okay cool. LOZ has such a rich mythology to it, it's a shame I never got a chance to play the games. The ones I've always wanted to play are Wind Waker & others in the "toon link" series, simply because I really love that art style. I did read the manga by Shotaro Ishinomori though! That was great!

Wind Waker's aesthetic is great. And it's one of the best games in the series, so is Four Swords Adventures and Minish Cap!
I just recently purchased the manga by Ishinomori. I read it a long time ago and I'm finally glad to have an actual physical copy of it now.Ā
