Here's the 5th installment to my series, "The Plumber Haters". Chargin' Chuck was definately one of the more memorable enemies from Super Mario World. Especially since he came in so many different forms (Chargin', Jumpin', Baseball, Football, Triple Team, Clappin', Diggin', and Referee) and was in practically every level at some point. Though I hate all those filler-game sports monstrosities they put out for Mario these days, why will they never do the obvious thing and put Chuck in as a playable character? Makes more sense to me than baby versions of characters you already have or lame rip-off of Wario AND Luigi who has never even ever appeared in a real game before. Ah well, I guess that's just me.Chargin' Chuck from Super Mario World.

Since the chargin chucks were re introduced maybe now they'll officially be part of the party games. It's worked for the koopalings in mario kart.

Chargin' Chuck is finally returning in the next major upcoming Mario game for the Wii U, Super Mario 3D World. I'm glad Nintendo is finally using him again. Although, it would be nice to see him playable in a Mario Sports title or a Mario Kart title. It would be awesome, but it will probably never happen. Hell, Goomba or Bob-Omb will probably be playable in a Mario Kart game before Chargin' Chuck is, and they don't even have any arms or hands!

Haha, yeah. I saw him in the trailor too. I feel he should have been the first choice of character for level enemies in sports games, but instead we got shyguys, wigglers, boos, and age/texture varients of characters we already have.

Personally, I'm not really a Mario sports guy. But seriously, Nintendo needs to add more characters in the Mario Kart games instead of just the same old characters over and over again. I mean seriously, there's so many Mario characters they could add instead of only keeping the usual. Where's Petey Piranha, Kamek, Chuckya, Snifit, Some Yoshi's Island enemies, Shadow Mario, Chunky Kong, Lanky Kong, and hell, they could attract a lot more consumers if Geno and Mallow where playable! There's just so many fitting characters they could use that haven't appeared in many games! Something I would really want to see is the Koopalings in a Mario Kart game (At least Bowser Jr appeared, I think).

And that's not even including all the characters from the Mario & Luigi games, Mario 2/Doki Doki Panic, Paper Mario and the Koopalings. I honestly keep my distance from the sports games too.

Yeah, I just checked my notes last night, sorry for forgeting to write back. I could do it, but I wouldn't want to make any promises as my lif is very busy between working, saving, planning and drawing this year. If I get around to it I will let you know.

Well, that's okay I guess. Maybe if you get way too busy then I'll ask someone else to make it. Anyways, are you going to draw more Mario characters for the Plumber Haters series? If you are, I think you should draw Chuckya, Snufit, ToxBox, Mr.Blizzard, Mr.I, and other forgotten Mario enemies. Especially since there's not too many good pieces of artwork out there for the ones like Snufit and Chuckya. Hopefully they return someday.

I lost all the files I made for the backdrops for that series on a computer I had for a while back there that crashed so I can't ever really continue that series. There were a few enemies I would have liked to go back and do but ah well.

Chargin' Chuck was one of my favorite bad guys from Super Mario World. Jumping on him and compressing his body (along with the goofy sound effect) cracked me and my brother up.

Yeah, he was an awesome enemy. He came in so many different varieties, too. I found it funny how after his head popped back up after being hit, he just shakes his head and looks around trying to figure out what the hell just hit him.

a few more than 6 or so jumps to his head and he was gone

Actually, although Mario would continue bouncing on his head, it only required 3 jumps to defeat him. Just any jump landed onhis head after he's been hit and he's shaking his head didn't deal any damage.

did he die faster if you did a spin jump? or did that take to long? only three wow im really digging your intense love of mario know how!

I played way too much Mario I guess. A spin jump didn't do any extra damage but one whack of the cape would take him down instantly.

a sports game with him... id play as him mainly the baseball ones cause i like how they look more i guess but yeah nintendos is getting sorta lazy they should include more cool characters!

yes the baby versions are annoying who would want to play as a baby anyway? they cant drive in reall life and as much as marios universe dosnt make sense this is a big not makeing sense thinga! old cool characters a vote!

That is a good point that I never thought about... Ol' Chuck HAS never appeared in any of those Mario sports games. And he was one of my favorite Mario bad guys next to Monty Mole.

I know, right? He was so popular and his whole identity was "the sports guy", I feel it only makes sense to put him in the sports line-up. If they make Mario Football and he's not there, there's no excuse.

One of my favorite enemies yeah he was pain to deal with, but he was cool looking and a challenge. They really need to bring him back in the series.

Haha. I specifically remember a room in Bowser's castle that was loaded with, like, 15 of these guys. It tortured me when I was a kid.
