Fenris, from the game Dragon Age II.Kick-ass warrior and one of my favourite characters.
You gotta love romancing him
Anyway, this is just an attempt to depict him in a realistic way.
Been trying a new painting technique. It simplifies some things, but I'm not sure altogether about the final result - it's easy to end up saturating the colours (as it happened to me several times, and then it's a real pain in the arse to correct them)
EDIT - Been checking on different monitors and the image still looks very saturated on PCs (looks fine on Mac)
*sigh* I will have to work on that at a later stage.

The only thing a little off in the perspective would have to be his sword, and it looks like his crotch/left thigh is not in the right place. It would have to be his left leg because his crotch seems to line up with the middle of his body 
Will you be outlining his armour as much as his face btw?
I think it would work well as a portrait too

I know the sword is not 100% right, perspective-wise, and maybe I will go and fix it one of these days, but the crotch and left thigh are anatomically correct. I always check and double check my anatomy before I start painting.
About the armour... I like it like that, I want to draw attention to his face, hence the difference in treatment. I'm sure a lot of people will not agree with this, but I like the final result.

Will there be another version of this that is just his face then?
If it's a really big painting too, then it might be quite nice as a close up of his face with the sky.
