Not bad...although I've always thought of elven blades as a bit more elegant.

I guess that's your vision of it.
There is nothing on Tolkien's works that describes elven blades one way or the other, so I guess this is a valid interpretation, as valid as any other. And if the head of the Art department wants something like this, is even more valid.
