Description aka, "James Potter to the rescue".

Ummm. This ain't done yet. I won't have time tonight to finish it properly, but I said I'd post what I have so far, and here it is.
just for the record, I HATE CLOTHING FOLDS!!!!!! DX I especially hate having to do them SOLELY in my brain because I have no reference! So I hope I didn't screw it up too badly.

Too many people make Lupinwolf look waaaaaaaaaay too cuddly and cute. He's not. Werewolves are DANGEROUS Dark creatures. No wonder Severus didn't want to tamper with Lupin's wolfsbane potion.
May I add, I think Sirius Black is a bastard and that this event is proof that even noble Gryffindors are corruptible or else that he SHOULD have been in Slytherin. Who else would let even their enemy get mauled to death by a frigging WEREWOLF???

for 's Remus SHOWDOWN (whoo I got the right word this time! )

Wow, this is amazing! I love it! Its very well done, and I just love the concept, and I agree, this is where I really don't like Sirius, but its the only time. :b

Great job!

I liked him while he was alive.

I kinda like Snape better cuz he's such a fun, complicated character.

THAT'S why I love Ravenclaw! If u think abou it, they're right in the middle! They sure as hell aren't as naive as the Hufflepuffs, they're not as hypocritical (sometimes) as the gryffindors (sorry y'all!) and they aren't as corrupted/corruptible as the slytherins! AND they've got the whole smart-thingie goin' on! Well, I may be baised there...I AM baised there...but still!

I completely agree with you, Lupinwolf should be utterly creepy, and it should scare the hell out of everyone, not make us go all 'awww'!!! Great job! And the clothing folds look fine....

And now I'm delighted I wasn't born then. Finally somebody who noticed that fact about werewolves. Otherwise they'd be werpups or werelabradors :shesh: Nice idea and well exectuted, I really like it

Ah! Yay! Wow! WEREWOLFY werewolf! *does happydance* It doesn't look like a fluffy freakin DOG *hates dogs anyway* or GOLLUM *like in the movie*....it looks like a WEREWOLF! And poor, terriffied Severus....*kicks Sirius in the face for getting him into this* I love you for this, I seriously do....So many people gloss over how much hell the Marauders put Snape through and are like "Oh Snape's such an evil bastard! Nevermind that Sirius tried to feed him to a werewolf and James hung him upside down and all four of 'em gave him hell through school...." Oh and yes, the clothing folds look fine.

I agree... how many people forget that the books are written from Harry's POV and that HARRY HATES SNAPE??!!?! geesh. does make it easy to forget, though, I guess...

Welcome!

All the blasted Gryffindors etc. who think that anyone who doesn't like Harry is evil...grr them. Easy to forget, if one wants to forget, or doesn't care, but personally I think that even if I wasn't a hopeless Snape-lover, I'd remember that kind of thing, just because having people who don't like the protagonist but who are still sympathetic, basically good characters adds to the story.

OOO excellent work, very intense, your monster Lupin looks like one mean Snape eating machine. AWW did Severus break his wand? I really like your moon, and the way you have James in the shadows.

brewing-trouble In reply to inkvine [2005-11-28 07:59:12 +0000 UTC]

thanks!

yeah, he did break his wand. I did put some thought into that point and I should have probably explained the logic I had behind it.

Snape's pretty good with a hex, for someone who acts so disdainful of "foolish wand waving" (made up his own, after all)... and if magic works on werewolves (which I assume they don't have any special magic immunity) then what *else* would have stopped Snape from just hexing Lupinwolf's tail off or casting a good Sectumsempra? He'd have been in hardly any danger at all if he were able to defend himself magically, and James wouldn't have NEEDED to save him, so there'd have been no life debt.

Ergo, Severus must have been in some REAL trouble with the werewolf. Something that happened that night caught him very seriously unawares and left him unable to defend himself in the only way he really otherwise could (because obviously, being "rather" shorter than Sirius and of a slender build, he couldn't defend himself physically very easily). And I can't see Snape skulking around at night going after the Marauders and somehow "forgetting" to bring his wand. No, he'd have had that wand in hand the WHOLE TIME.

Therefore, Snape's wand would have been either knocked out of his hand relatively early on and he was somehow unable to reach it, or else it was broken. I opted for broken just because I felt sure that Snape would have mastered a nonverbal Accio by his sixth year.

you think so, on the clothing? *whew*. It's really hard to think your way around those folds when you're not really accustomed to doing that!

Thank you!

Oh, I certainly don't mind if you work over the picture. You will not change so much that the pic would become completely unrecognisable, I guess.. hehe. I faved it mainly because of Severus' expression, which I find really awesome - I hope you would not change this, yes?

brewing-trouble In reply to XiaoGui [2005-11-27 10:32:28 +0000 UTC]

no, not planning to change that. I quite liked it as well. Mostly I just plan to rework the shading and the background.

I'm very looking forward to the result .

If I may suggest something - maybe you would like to put a little light on James' face - just a very little bit, just not to take away the emphasis from Severus and the werewolf.. because he looks a bit like a black demon currently. (sorry for the strange description, my English just left me.. I hope you know what I mean )

blue-nadir [2005-11-27 09:26:01 +0000 UTC]

Oooh definitely - Snape wouldn't be so shit-scared of werewolves if they were cute'n'cuddly, lemme tell ya! Excellent poses and expressions - some of body language is so the subtle. Awesome design on the werewolf as well! Excellent entry!

spank yew!

Severus is most upset about all this, though. He says he's sick of me drawing him in such dreadful situations (nevermind that they're fairly canon) and is demanding to be drawn either putting massive pwn!1age on Harry's arse, or else in a compromising situation with a pretty girl in my next picture. I'm not impressed, because I wanted to continue with the Legilimens series. We'll work something out, I'm sure.
