I see somepony else subscribes (or at least did) to my school of thought, namely that a woman with heavy-handed terrestrial power is probably domineering and powerful in bed too 
Though I can see Twilight's now like, "Oh no, why did I let my lust get the better of me ?!" Although maybe canon!Celestia is still in there enough to undo this change.
Speaking of which, to answer your question, I would think Twilight would try to stop Celestia if she ever became more like Trollestia/Molestia, because in her mind, she's not the Celestia Twilight knew and loved. However, Twilight would likely look for a way to reverse it, rather than...umm...simply "defeating" her.

The one thing that truly bugs me about this? Twi's much too talented & charming to be full-time Designated Throne Candy(R). At least give her a half-hour break each day for walkies and reducing the kingdom's budget deficit.
Anyhow, quality human!ponies here; Celly exudes malevolent grandeur, and Tiny Forlorn Twi looks to be dire need of a hug (not to mention a sammich or two). Clever touch with the sun-brand, lest I forget.

Mnn well the picture itself had started out as a commission for someone. They'd had in mind that Celestia, for one reason or another, had turned against the people of Equestria. She became a tyrant, and Twilight, ever faithful to her, refused to leave her side. Jealous and suspicious of Twilights relationship with her friends, she chained Twilight to her throne to made sure there was no chance for second thoughts...

This is so badass, it's like a cover to a lost Conan the Barbarian novel. Celestia's pose just exudes power, like she could crush entire armies with her mind and not break a sweat. Terrifying, but awesome in every sense of the word.
