Description Back again.....
Trying to get at least one render out a week. We'll see how that goes.
Messed about with this one for over 2 days deciding where I wanted to go with it.
As always, I generally start with the car as the main subject, after deciding which one it will be ( I have hundreds of them)......in this case, a beautiful Jag XF, and see where I end up from there.

So, this one's in the "Village" on a crisp, sunny afternoon, and I just happen to have appeared there for the shot as well.

As always, D|S 4.10/OctaneRender, no postwork, beyond sigs and logo stuff.

Until next week, hopefully,

Ciao!

Oh hello, Briana! Very very awesome look you've got going on there. That look on your face though, I'm a little scared, haha.

One of my near by neighbours has one of these, wasn't sure if i liked them at first but it is starting to grow on me a little...

As regards lack of renders i get where you are coming from, my last but one render took me almost a month to decide which image to render as i am now finding that most people who follow me "Not surprisingly" are only interested in my characters being semi or fully nude in a scene, and seem to gloss over images like this that still hold weight for me as a constructive image?

I still work with Daz Studio every day making scenes pimping out cars bikes and trucks etc, but i find the lack of interest in ordinary character driven scenes like this a little underwhelming to say the least and makes me wonder why i even bother these days rendering stuff if no one takes any notice of it?

I think the reason why i have not yet given up on this site is due to why i started doing renders in the first place, not as a means to please others so much but as a way to please myself and actually bring to life characters vehicles and locations i have created from imagination, so i guess time allowing i will continue doing renders regardless of who likes it or not...

For me, it's simply lack of time.

I really need an upgrade in the computer department. Though setting up scenes takes longer than rendering, because I generally just start with the vehicle and go from there, and that usually leads to several different ideas for scenes.

I definitely get where you're coming from in terms of feeling uninspired due to lack of perceived interest in what you do, from an art standpoint. But, you can never really give into that.

I think most of us got into this thinking, "no one is ever going to look at this", but, as we hone our skills and get better, 'in most cases', we feel a little bruised when people don't take notice.
I gave up caring whether people look or not several years back. It frustrated me to no end the "games" people played, and still do at places like Renderosity, when "artists" put out shit images and seem "gallery famous" by commenting on everything just to garner likes for their garbage, uh-hum, I mean "art".

And, yes, then you have the nudity factor. Rendering nudes isn't a specific talent, since all the artist is doing is rendering a character in, or not in a seductive way, simply to light someones fantasy. Anyone can render nudes. Sure, I appreciate a finely rendered nude as anyone else. Nudity is a beautiful art form. But, I don't know, it certainly isn't something I would spend a great deal of time focusing my time on, just to gain attention.
I'm just as interested in a finely rendered piece of architecture or automobile, as I am a nude human. Call me a freak I suppose.

I like to render things that interest me, and will continue to do so. Scenes with people, ....or creatures, most certainly architecture, and of course cars (or other transportation related things) are where I like to focus my ideas, and in a variety of themes, from real life to steampunk, post apocalypse, sci-fi, etc. And to that, end, I don't care if people notice or not. The galleries for me, remind me of where I want to go as an artist, and certainly where I've been, and as a constant reminder, I'm far more accomplished than many, certainly decent in my own right, and what I need to work towards. Galleries also hold a spot where I can go back, look at where I was, and how I got where I am now, as an artist, and possible give me ideas if there was something I wanted to go back and build on.

Don't ever do art that simply pleases the masses. Do what inspires you, and what you find joy in.
