Crocheted brown micro-braid wig for Monster High Doll

This was my first wig for a Monster High doll. Designed on a CAM but will fit a bald regular MH doll.

Skull cap is crocheted with a 7 hook and #10 crochet cotton with an elastic ponytail holder worked in to secure the cap on the doll's head. It's secure enough that the doll can be turned upside down and shaken without it coming off.

The hair is done with a 7 hook in #10 crochet cotton using chains and slip stitches. There are several rows of hair and some of the cap was left bald to keep it from looking too bulky, but when the braids are arranged you can't see the bald parts. It can be styled somewhat (gathered in a ponytail, etc.).

Work time for this project was 5 hours 15 minutes.

Not intended for play, can probably be glued on to a custom doll or used as a normal wig.
