The Sunken Ship Amongst the Moment of MeetingOriginal image size: 17x11in. 200dpi (3400x2200px)
This piece is another dedicated to Dali. I know, you may think I am obsessed,
but I spent a long long time working on this. Especially since I used only a
mouse, the hours were multiplied from 2 to 3.
The Sunken Ship Amongst the Moment of Meeting displays an adventure. An
image with motion yet not in motion. Just like the war today, I know it's there
but, I haven't really felt the impact from it yet.
100% Photoshop6.

Zooming in is a pain. But I managed to finish painting this giant.
If you have ideas for texturing, colors, or etc. Please tell me, and then I could
rework it into a second version.

FINALLY! This is one of the few pieces of yours that really blends for me. As I said on other pieces, it seems that the different styles for each object did not go very well together. In this case, it seems they mix well, probably because the styles are more spread out and integrated, not clumped in one place on the picture. Good stuff.

I particularly like the smoothness of the whole thing. The sky is awsome, you can kind of make out things from the shapes in the clouds.

It's interesting how the box looks great, but the rest looks like complete crap. It's clear that this wasn't made 100% in photoshop. Stop lying to yourself, it's just making you look even more demented. I would suggest giving up the art thing and applying for a job at your local fast food restaurant.

wow,iยดm simply impressed,this is the hell of a tribute,i guess when dali could have used the possibilities of the digital medium,it couldnยดt look better like this,especially when using a MOUSE!!!
honest,this is so well and worked out, and i like the dark mood youยดve added to the surreal athmosphere,thats why it looks not directly like a Dali tribute,
keep working on this style,because youยดve talent,and when this is a part of your imagination you would work into more, i look forward to see the next pieces from you...maybe drawn with a wacom or so...

The moon, did you paint that or was it a photo that you've included? It looks very photorealistic if you did paint it!
The golden box stands out as the most amazing piece of this work, to me. The solidity of it's form, and the marvelous lighting on it are exquisite!
An excelent composition, but it seems perhaps a little disjointed. There are lots of great things there, but they don't really connect together into the one big picture all that well...

For almost two years I worked a couple of blocks away from the Dali Museum in St. Pete, Fl. Sometimes, to clear my head, I would go there on my lunch break and just stare at the paintings. While surreal, they are all charged with powerful emotions (except perhaps the Lobster Phone). I see that in your work as well. It's zany and heavy with symbolism. Great work, Brian.

This is excellent! And superbly fantastic! hehe. I adore Dali's work, this is truly a worthy dedication to his genious, as it is sheer genious it self! How do you spell genious? Anyway! I like the zebra and the little gold colored box on the left. Then again, I also like the shadow of skeletal fragments beneath that. The whole thing is amazing
