On a subconscious level, maybe.Β Though I tend to look at illustrators like Adam Hughes and some of the Disney renaissance films for inspiration.

It's hard for me to say since I draw well.Β Β I think animation, traditional anyways, allows for a variety of styles. Some of them are very simplified. That makes it easier for people who don't draw well to get their feet wet. Simple things like the bouncing ball and sack of flour animation are very easy for most people to practice with. The better you draw, the better your animation will look. That's probably the most difficult part.

I see. What advice can you give to someone who feels like they couldn't succeed in life with something they love doing?
Since in our society, money and getting a better job is way more important than modest jobs.

I would recommend you get a "real" job and work on your art on the side.Β That's what I do actually. I would just look at it as a temporary situation and wouldn't settle.
One or two years down the line and you could be in a very different place.
If your interested in animation, I would practice life drawing. Every chance you get. That's very cliche advice, but it's true. The better you draw, the better you will be able to animate, illustrate,etc. It's not popular, and the artists who don't keep up with it, stagnate.

Not sure exactly why, but this sparked an idea. Seeing as Disney has the rights to Star Wars now, imagine if someone went and did an animated piece in a certain galaxy far, far away. Star Wars awesomeness, combined with Disney levels of resources and animation. It may not be likely, but seeing this proves it would be amazing.
