Golbat loves to feed on blood, both human and Pokémon, sometimes drinking as much as 10 fluid ounces (300mL) in one sitting. It has been confirmed that its own blood type will change to that of its victim. It is a very gluttonous Pokémon, occasionally drinking so much blood that it will become too overweight to fly. Trainers should approach dark caves with caution.

Golbat is a dual-type Pokémon, being both Poison and Flying-type. It evolves from Zubat at experience level 22 and into Crobat through friendship.
