Hmm... What would you need for it, sound-wise?

Well, pretty much just one very short loop (for the title screen), a main theme, and a boss theme, plus a few variations to make it interesting (probably just variations on the main theme). Probably not piano, but if it's a MIDI file then it would be easy enough to put it in a MOD tracker and use different samples.
Sounds effects are pretty obvious. Just standard jumping noises and explosions and all that.
Anyways, it would be a short game, so it's like... Intro, Stage 1, Stage 2/miniboss, stage 3, final boss. So you'd want a "hero" theme (probably a bit cheerful sounding), and the score for the stages would be based upon that, but there would be variations on instrument and tempo, etc. for each one.
The first level is a Jungle level, that would be kind of jungle sounding, like maybe some random chirping/cooing sounds, with like a flute or chimes playing a bit in the background. The second one is kind of a beach level (A bit more upbeat, although still rather tranquil sounding), the third is the ocean level (so that's probably bubbly and underwater sounding). For the most part, all the variations on "hero" theme will be kinda slow paced.
Then there would be a "bad guy" theme. That would sound rather dark and scary. There would be a slow version for the cut scenes, and a fast adrenaline-rush version for the boss battles.
And there'd have to be a title theme, it would probably be a little like the hero theme, but pretty fast and annoying. There would be a much shorter variation for the "stage complete" tune, and then another version for the credits, but not so annoying, since it would be the credits.
And I'd want to have minigames as well, there'd be 4, and you could do whatever you want for them, as long as it matched the minigame pretty well. (Although I'm kinda thinking super market music for them, but whatever works.)
Anyways, if you do wanna make the score, you wouldn't have to do it all right away, after all I don't even have most of the graphics done. So you could take your time. There would be one restriction, though. It would have to be in .MOD format. (Actually it might something different, but you could obviously make them MIDI's and then convert them to some better quality stuff later.)
(Oh and meh... I might of said some things twice, I'm not sure.)

Hmm... Without worrying about format right now, I'd need to know the story to start thinking up themes. (Format kills me... always... so I'll concentrate on composition for the time bieng. I'm nowhere near professional, but something like this could be very fun.) And as for sound effects, one would need to know what weapons, etc. will be used and what kind of attacks, power-ups, etc. there are. You could just note me to give me a list of what background loops you need, what sound effects there'll be, and the backstory for the game. I could go from there.
Just be warned that until musical is over, I'll have no life at all, so things might not move... T.T (I feel bad now...)

*salutes back*
Awesome. My cousin writes music, I think. He actually only played piano for like a long time, and now I think he does guitar too. A while ago I went to his house, and he showed me this song that he recorded on a disc using his keyboard, then put it on one of the computers and add other instruments and percussion. It was kewl.

Well, piano's all I play. My older brother tried learning to play guitar, but failed miserably... his ADD and a schedule that didn't allow much practice conspired against him.
