Description A promotional poster I made about 3 years ago for a production of Into The Woods I was in during my sophomore year at college. One of my best friends played the wolf and he was so creep-tastic it was actually hard to watch him.

isn't it the best when the wolf is one of your friends? You always get more creeped out than people who have never known them in real life.

yeah and it makes it more fun. our dance was pretty kick-ass. and because she was my best friend, i could make fun of her for "metaphorically raping me" haha

I absolutely love that show!! Did your school take a dark take on the storey? I'd love to know! I wish I had been there to see the "creep-tastic" wolf!

Oh yes, our production was very very dark indeed. We had fake blood, and death, and severed body parts...very cool to be a part of!

I was the stepsister who got her heel chopped off by the stepmother. We rigged up my stocking with this fake putty heel that would spurt blood when she hit it with a meat cleaver...awesome.

Holy cow! I would have absolutely loved to have seen it!! I appreciate the happy-go-lucky version my school did but I love to see different takes on things!

there's a good video version starring Bernadette Peters as the witch and it's a pretty decent representation of the darker version if you want to check that out.

"How many wolves have YOU carved-up?"
"A wolf's not the same."
"Ask a wolf's mother."

(that line STILL gives me chills)

I love all of the Witches lines, a lot of them really make you think.

Oh, I know! That whole play is filled with creepy lines that stick with you...for some reason, "The slotted spoon CAN catch the potato" has always stayed with e...maybe because our Jack's mother said it with such comical inflection...

I know, I loved being in it so much! I was one of Cinderella's evil stepsisters and I got to get my heel cut off! It was so cool, we had a fake one stuck to my sock and when the stepmother hacked it off with a meat carver, it rolled across the stage and then my sister would kick it under her dress to hide it!...wow, that's a little morbid now that I think about it.
