Description Springtime Tragedy---------Jan.21/0

I can already here the spring rains fall
Though I know its still winter outside
And I could almost here those nighttime calls
Though I know there’s no life inside
Oh, I could have been so many things, for you

Why do I always have to sacrifice?
Life’s been so unfair
When everything was dead and dying 'round me
Least I knew you were still there
Oh, I had hope, for one moment
Thought I could be happy
But I was only fooling myself
You don’t care for me

All along this road of sad goodbyes
You are one more to let go of
I could never hold you and you know why
I've had enough left-over love
I’m leaving an unspoken tragedy
This time I’ve had enough
I’m really coming down from this fantasy
Because you don’t care for me.

I know how you feel. Love is an awesome power and it's absence bores a hole right down to the soul. Well spoken, though literal. Nice rhymes. Actually, i think the only trimming necessary is the 'because you don't care for me.' It might work to leave that implied, I'm not sure. We don't need to know what the other person feels or doesnt, the reader is interested in your reaction to love lost.
