you would know that the daughter you see isn't real.
I smile, I laugh, I play the part.
I guess you just aren't very smart.

I've tried to hint about who I am,
but I think staying in denial is your master plan.
I'm not allowed to be sad, in your eyes all I am is glad.

I wish you understood my pain, how it's not for my personal gain.
I don't want this life, I never have.
It's not just your attention I want to grab.

Having a disability is hard, it's really rough.
Because somehow I'm never enough.
