Alex sat on one of the dorm room beds trying to figure at how she got here and where she was. Her mind was going so fast it was hard to focus on anything but her injuries and appearance right now. Her sari was ripped, her hair a mess, and she was covered in scraps and bruise. She looked up feeling the weight of the bed shift.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to startle you." A blue haired girl said.
"NO it's fine...I'm just trying to take in my surroundings." Alex said looking at the blue haired girl. "May I ask who you are and where I am?"
"I'm Iris and this is Hena." she said motioning to the brunette behind her. "You're at the Fairy Hill school for fairies. We found you wondering out in the forest in quite a daze. You know our names...what's yours?"
"I"m Princess Alexandra...but call Alex. Alexandra is too formal my liking." Alex said.
"What happened to you Alex?" Hena asked. It was clear to her she had suffered from some great trauma. It rolled off her like waves
"I'm not really sure." Alex said..."It's still all kinda fuzzy."
"Just do the best you can Alex." Iris said. "We just want to help."
"I'm from the Phonenixia."
Hena gasped. "You're from the realm of the scared fire?!" Hena had only heard of this realm. It's fire was said to be a gift from the gods themselves.
"Yes...."Alex said.
Hena looked at Alex. "Are you the keeper of it?"
"HENA!" iris said. "Forgive her Alex."
"It's ok. No, I'm the fairy of the Phoenix fire."
"The bird of Fire and Rebirth, said to be born from the original ashes of the scared fire." Hena said. "But fire would not give you cuts and bruises..."
"No it wouldn't." Alex said
"So how did you get them?" Iris asked.
"My realm was attacked by some dark wizard...Reuben I think his name was...iIm not really sure what he was after I'm thinking it was scared fire. It's contain powerful magic and even few of flames are taken and corrupted it could be bad news. As to what it would mean I don't know....the scared fire has never been tainted before so it's only speculation as to what will happen. However, knowing how unpredictable fire can be as an element, it can't be anything good."
"So he would be after the fairy who is the keeper if the scared fire in order to control it." Hena said thinking out loud.
"Yes and No."
"What do you mean." Hena asked.
"I dont know if this is true but this is what I have been told by the historians and priests. The Phoenix and Scared fire work together so Like Hena said he would need both of their respected keepers. And the last known keeper of the scared fire has been dead for over 100 years, not to mention they have to be of royal blood. So that's the good news."
"What's the bad news."
"Since the Phoenix fire burns within it, to even just taint it...even just a few flames in theory..he would really only need the keeper of the phoenix fire. Which means he's after me."
"But your a fairy, you've been schooled enough to know how to control it and fight off his spells." Iris said. "haven't you?"
"Only the basic of the basic. I never been to fairy school before. this was going to be my first year before my realm was attached."
"So if you haven't been trained..." Iris said thinking out loud,
"Than you have little to no control over you magic which leaves you more vulnerable to being spelled or corrupted." hena said finishing Iris's thought.
"Which is why i was sent away." Alex said as she hissed shifting. her wounds were really starting to hurt now. "it wasn't easy getting away either. I fear for my realm my people.."
"it never in when evil wizard are involved." Iris said. "And don't worry about your realm Alex. That's why you have us. Me and Hena and the rest of the Sweetix girls. We'll help you control your magic, protect you , and help take back your realm."
"Really?" Alex said.
"Really. that's what fairies do, we look out for each other." Hena said.
"thank you that' means alot." Alex said.
"Now lets see about getting you cleaned up and find you some clean clothes." Hena said leading Alex to the bathroom so she could clean her up. "I think you're going to fit in just fine here Alex."
