Over the past two months, Misty has been living with her adopted mother, Peach Dancer. Today she noticed Peach Dancer seemed extra happy today.

Misty: Peach Dancer. What's gotten you so excited?

Peach Dancer: my old friend, Diamond Hoof has returned from the mysterious south. I'm going to meet with her.

Misty: I'll come with you.

Peach Dancer and Misty went to the throne room where Diamond Hoof along with her lover and commander of the Resolute Rangers, Moonlight Hunter were talking with Prince Solar Spell and Princess Sweetie Peach. Diamond Hoof was excited to see Peach Dancer and she walked towards her.

Diamond Hoof: Hi Peach Dancer. It's been along time.

Peach Dancer: Diamond Hoof. I'm glad you're back.

As the two mares talked a young colt who had been taken in by Moonlight Hunter and the other rangers named Swift Archer had noticed Misty nervously standing by Peach Dancer. Swift Archer had been though some rough times and battles, hanging out with full grown ponies for a long time. He was excited to meet some pony his own age. He galloped towards her and stopped with a smile on his face.

Swift Archer: Hello. I'm Swift Archer. What's your name?

Misty stared nervously at him. She was nervous to meet a stranger, but she remembered her adopted mothers lessons about friendship.

Misty: ......Misty......I live here with my mother.

Swift Archer: You live here? Can you show me around the castle?

Misty: Yeah...I guess I could.

Swift Archer: Great. Then lead the way.

Misty walked ahead while Swift Archer followed her as she showed him around the castle.

Swift Archer: So I hear this kingdom is a peaceful and friendly place. You must be very lucky to have grown up here.

Misty: You mean you're not from around here?

Swift Archer: No. I come from the Mysterious South. It was a nice place to live.....until my village was......destroyed.

Misty paused and turned to face Swift Archer with a sad look on her face.

Misty: You lost your home?

Swift Archer: Yeah.... and my parents too......

Misty: I'm sorry....I know how that feels.

Swift Archer: You do? But isn't Peach Dancer your mother?

Misty: She's my adopted mother. I got lost in a forest and my dad was attacked by Timberwolves trying to protect me.....

Swift Archer: ....I'm sorry Misty.....Seems we've both suffered loss....

Misty: Yeah, but the ponies from this Equestria saved us both and have given us a chance at life.

Swift Archer smiled.

Swift Archer: Yeah. You're right and Princess Sweetie Peach has told me I can compete in the Equestria games.

Misty: I'll watch and cheer for you.

Swift Archer: Thanks. Does this mean we're friends?

Misty: Eh...yes I guess we are.

The two young foals smiled, happily having found a new friend in each other.

Swift Archer: Someday I'm gonna join the Resolute Rangers when I grow up. What do you want to become Misty?

Misty: I.... never really thought about it.

Swift Archer: You're a unicorn, so there's a lot of possibilities. You could become a magician, a magic teacher, maybe a scholar?

Misty: Peach Dancer has been trying to teach me some spells that are considered..... forbidden.

Swift Archer: Isn't that a bad thing?

Misty: I thought so too, but Peach Dancer says she only teaches them to special ponies.

Swift Archer: She must think really highly of you. Either way I'm sure you'll be successful in your future.

Misty: I wish us both luck.

Swift Archer: Yeah. So how about we continue the tour.

Misty continued to show her new friend around the castle.
